Have the W25Q128FVSIG on order from aliexpress, which should fit (it's the same code as other smaller capacity flash I've ordered before and fits):

Not arrived yet though so can't guarantee it'll work.

I have successfully upgraded esp-01 and esp-07 to the 4MB (32Mbit) variant of this chip.

These W25Q128s are the same size as the flash chips they are replacing (butchered a Wemos D1 mini), and the device detects the new chip ID fine:

Manufacturer: ef
Device: 4018

However, as per the other thread I can't seem to access >4MB whatever I do:
