I have the issue flashing a board that is very similar to Wemos D1 R2.
I'm flashing it with NodeMCU firmware Programmer (just downloaded from git repo). Flashing succeeds only when flashed with INTERNAL://NODEMCU firmware (I get NodeMCU 0.9.5 build 20150318 announcement).
Firmwares built with Docker or downloaded from https://nodemcu-build.com/ fail to boot: Board constantly reboots with a message(@74880 baud):
etc Jan 8 2013, rst cause:2, boot mode:(3,7)
load 0x40100000, len 24324, room 16
sometimes boot mode is (3,6)
Given that standard flash boots I don't think it's power or GPIO0,2,15 related. I think first thing I would like to try another, older firmware - if someone can point me to one. Any other ideas?
I'm using this board:

EDIT: I just flashed it with micropython, latest build, and board reboots with similar error.
EDIT2: flashed with older micropython 1.8.0 and not I get this message:
FAT filesystem appears to be corrupted. If you had important data there, you
may want to make a flash snapshot to try to recover it. Otherwise, perform
factory reprogramming of MicroPython firmware (completly erase flash, followed by firmware programming).
