- Mon Jan 05, 2015 12:15 am #6306 Hi, from the looks of the schematics, it should be safe to remove the LED on ESP-01,
as in if the two LED's (red, blue) are desoldered , ESP-01 still works.
Can someone confirm ?

We are interested in saving every bit of electricity for a battery powered project, and in this
case esp8266 is not always turned on. We'd like to remove the LED as it is quite pointless
inside a product box.
