#63559 Good morning dear forum,
I'm currently running three ESP8266 and one NodeMCU board in my house which check the temperature every hour and post it to an own server. Since all of the parts were pretty cheap and came from China, I'm worried about their security.

These "setups" are used for the power supply:
- ESP-01 + plug socket + 5V power supply + USB cable + MB102 (goo.gl/b9X2GC)
- ESP-01 + plug socket + 5V power supply + USB cable + AMS1117 (goo.gl/Myt2rj)
- ESP-01 + 2 AA batteries + battery box (goo.gl/q6znBe)
- NodeMCU + 9V battery + battery clip (goo.gl/DOpS1Z)

Now, is there any danger based on these setups? I'm very new to electronically engineering so I don't know if they can heat up or even start a fire if one of the parts was broken?!

Thanks a lot in advance from Germany :-)
