I haven't got my hands on one of these modules yet but hoping someone else who has can confirm this for me.

According to the schematic posted below; (From ESP-12S user Manual)

Unlike the previous ESP-12x units the new ESP-12S has the required pull-up/down resistors and should be in running mode by default with only VCC and GND connected.

Can anyone confirm that for me please?
