I'm definitely still a long ways away from implementing this in my code, but does anyone know of a resource for an ad hoc style set-up for the 8266?
Long term goals, I'm looking to be able to connect the 8266 to a new WiFi network without editing, recompiling, and uploading the code.
Functionality similar to setting up a Chromecast or Echo, where an app creates an ad hoc network with the device to enter WiFi network information.
And, of course, is this even possible?
