#68956 Hi all,

New to the forum and my first projects.

I am trying to re-flash a couple of SONOFF outlets with a variety of firmware I have found and I always seem to come across the same issue.

I am using the usual FTDI adapter shown here https://puu.sh/x790c/8064793e94.png

I have currently tested ESPEasy, Tasmota and couple of others with exactly the same response - nothing.

The flash always seems to finish correctly, I reboot the device and receive ZERO COM port output on the monitor, the device appears to be completely dead. I have tried both at 115500 Baud and everything below to be sure.

Things I have tried
1. Another new, known good SONOFF unit.
2. A completely different laptop
3. Different USB cables
4. Different Header Cables

So I think I have narrowed the issue down a fair way, the only common item being the FTDI adapter itself. I have ordered another.

My question is has anyone come across this before? I thought firstly that the ESP was a dud, or the board had some sort of failure, but having tried the same methods with a second, new and tested SONOFF I have started to look elsewhere.

At no point have I managed a successful flash or received any data AT ALL from any of the outlets.

I have tried monitoring the COM port via Arduino and also Putty, same issue, no data is parsed at all.

Any idea, help or advice would be great!

Thanks
Rossymond
