I spent my evening on this but I finally made it.

Using the NodemCu formatter and standard parameters it worked...
I carrefully flashed. Then I restarted and the ESP_XXX SSID appeared. I connected to it but it wasn't giving me any IP address. you wait a little bit once connected then it created the ESPmac SSID, and I was able to access the 4.1 IP .
now seems to work perfectly...

by the way you don't have any idea for the DS18B20 issue that I have with the -127 value returned?
don't hesitate to send me a private message I don't know if I can do it

- Wed Sep 27, 2017 3:56 am #70356 well as for me i had the same issues too so i just resulted to using nodemcu flasher software and located the 4mb folder and flashed the firmware

for a very strange reason in some case it seems you cannot get them working with Basic flash, even if some others from the same batch works ok.in some case it works when you insist of flash them with the nodemcu flasher using the MMISBasic rom.
in some case you never get them working. when you succeeded once with one, you can do it as much as you want after with this one, it always works.

also I never succeeded flashing ESP32 models. only D1 or 12.
The basic flash is just a so great option. but it seems that the forum and life of the idea is not really maintained on a long term basis. this is sad! it's so helpfull. I have already "converted" 4 people and even non technician to use it.
