ESP8266 Community Forum

- Tue Jan 16, 2018 7:17 am #73171 My goal would be to send music from the PC to my local wifi and receive it with an esp8266 and play it over a vs1053.

I have already discovered the esp radio and KaRadio project. That would be that what I'm looking for. however, I would only have to receive my own stream.

My questions:

• Are there any smaller projects than the two mentioned above?
• What Windows software must be running on my PC so that the stream can be received by esp / KA Radio? It should just transfer the audio from the PC, I do not want an extra player.
• I guess that the audio quality should be good and is more influenced by the components on the receiving side or?
