btw: the ~10µA you mentioned are valid for the esp8266 chip alone only under best situation.
for the real ds current one has to take into account all pull ups/downs, the flash chip and - in your case of the huzzah - the voltage regulator, this alone will bring you far above your quoted ~10µA.
