Just got and tested my boards - only to realise I have gone and put a pullup on TX and not RX. Anyway - thanks for all the inputs everyone!

I have done that as well. It was easy for me to cut the trace to the resistor and solder a small piece of wirewrap wire to correct the connection.

For now just din't add the pullup - seems to be running stable. Shall resort to trace cutting and jumpers if I have issues!
