I went over the menu options very carefully and the sub menus also - could not find a tab labelled "Device Manager" Where do I need to look for ths?

thats not in the Arduino IDE, it is in the system settings of your windows control center ...

I must be really dumb!
I found control-> Device Manager-> ? none of the menu items mentioned "Show hidden devices."
I tried Systems Settings - no mention of "Show Hidden devices" in the menu choices.
I tried searching for QuickFix- in my browser -> Got cat neutering advice, or Urine removal.
