#7826 Suxsem: If you reset your ESP after a failed bootup does that fix it?
I have my reset pin pulled high with a 10k which I pull to ground with a tactile button which after the reset fixes it every time. But power cycling most times results in another failed boot.

#7858 I have loaded version 20150108 nodeMCU firmware onto a version1 board and I have the exact same problem. I've not yet tried the the reset method, but will try and post back. Also have other modules with stock AT firmware so I'll try them as well. That may help rule out electrical issues.
