I tried to power the ESP with two batteries in series but of course had to throw them away almost 'half-full'.
Now I'm looking for a DC-DC converter, no matter if it's using the batteries in series or in parallel.
I first thought the TI TLV61224 sounds lovely, but according to the specs
'Output Current of More Than 40 mA From a 1.2-V rectification to obtain maximum efficiency at minimal quiescent currents.'
the output current might be far too low to power WiFi safely if the voltage decreases.
Yes, there's a reason why I'd like to use non-rechargables. In fact two:
- some nice cases available from sensors which don't work anymore
- a good source for used AA's that don't do in other devices
My goal is to power the device using 2 1.5V batteries as long as possible without changing anything else.
If you have any tipps for me, I'd appreciate that very much
P.S.: I'm also using LiFePO4's for my other sensors but you also have to pay attention to not drain them too much.
