I'm not sure if this will help, but there is a video on YouTube showing how to get a smoke detector to send SMS messages. You might see something in that to help you.

I had a 'doorbell' project which I wrote up http://myiot.co.uk/doorbell/
Many commercially available wireless doorbells operate at 433MHz & it's usually(!) quite simple to interface these.
I think my example will do what you want with a little tinkering.
