#8711 I have developed and breadboard adapter with reset button, flash jumper, socket to insert ESP8266 and 8pos screw terminal. Everything I wanted to make it easy to test and program the little beast. Check it out on my http://horaciobouzas.com/2015/02/01/esp8266-breadboard-adapter-with-reset-and-flash-jumper-8266bba01-available-on-tindie-and-ebay/ and send suggestions or comments.

#8718 not sure its worth continuing with the esp-01, only 2 gpio pins doesn't really warrant the effort.

$10+shipping for the adaptor only is too much for me when i just paid under $6 including shipping for two esp-12's with adaptors.

#8823 The price is probably OK consider all have to be assembled by hand, packaged and shipped personally. Workmanship has to be paid. DIYers cannot compete with factories who manufacture modules by tens of thousands.
