#87527 I have an NodeMcu V3 that appears to be very poor in picking up the radio signal. It will not connect to my WiFi router and running the example scan sketch (right next to the antenna) it sees my SSID very occasionally. If I run the WAP sketch my other devices can see it fine but cannot connect to it, presumably because it is not seeing them. It was working OK before (before what, I don't know ;-) )
I have a separate ESP-12 which can run these sketches fine and reliably sees multiple local WiFi networks.

It's quite probable that I have broken it somehow - but is there some way I could have turned the gain down by mistake in a way that survives reset, or even reprogramming?

#87583 Make sure you have mounted it with the antenna hanging off the board and away from any copper. I've found those units can be temperamental if you don't have the antenna well clear of anything that could mess up reception
