if you have such knowledge, how to extend example "ESP8266_IOPIN" to connect on startup to the remote AP as STA,
then open UDP (or TCP) socket (on ESP8266) and listen for incoming commands, eg one byte command
and rest as is with UART commands (1, 2 or 3 to set different blinking speeds)...

but not only GPIO2... done with all 16 GPIO // TCP, UDP, HTTP and ADC ( Oscilloskope ) ;-)

i am at weekend online again - i wíll cut all videos and will upload this -
