There's not much you can do. If you're waiting for a message on radio then your radio has to be on. And I think it's the most power hungry thing on esp8266.

I can go to sleep for example 4 ms and wake up for example 1 ms.
an i can configure the client ( the other side ) with timeout of 5 ms.
the problem is I dont know what is happening after the device wake up.
does it continue normally? is it stating connected ? if not does it scan the network.
these things may cause more more activity then normal light sleep.

Change miliseconds to seconds and it may make sense. Nothing beats proper measurements done by youself but according to http://bbs.espressif.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=171 it takes more like 250 ms for radio to go up after deep sleep.
